Default Wills

My husband and I have very few assets, no real estate, mostly household items that would amount to only a couple of thousands in values. Are we safe filling out a do-it-yourself will and having it notarized if our only beneficiaries are our adult kids?

I am a believer that individuals are able to complete some of the "do it yourself" legal forms. Although the issue of a will can be very complex, it seems as if your situation is very straightforward. You can take a look at some of the legal documents at USLegalforms to see if they can assist you with preparing your own will. However if you run into any trouble or do not feel comfortable with creating your own will, then I suggest you contact an attorney in your state who specializes in wills and estates.

I am not an attorney and this is not legal advice.

YB, I was unaware that wills can be state-specific. When I went to USLegalforms like you suggested I was able to click onto a link that was all about wills in our state. Thanks!
