Default A ticket

Is it true that you can be arrested on the spot if you refuse to sign a traffic ticket that an officer issues you?

Good question, Molly. I have not heard of such a thing happening. I can't wait to hear what the experts have to say about this.

I have not heard of anyone having to sign a traffic ticket. When you pull over, the police officer just hands you a ticket without you having to sign anything. Where did you see/hear about this happening?

I've received a few traffic tickets in my time, but I don't recall having to sign anything on the spot either. I believe I did sign them when I paid them, either by mail or in a bank.

I have never received a traffic ticket (I'm proud to say) so I do not know about any of this by experience, but I would think that you shouldn't have to sign a parking ticket.
