Despite its vast geographical size, the state of Wyoming has the smallest population in the country. Out of its approximately 544,000 residents, around 10% are living below or at the federal poverty line as outlined by the United States government. Since there are so few residents in the state, though, its pro bono and community legal resources efforts tend to be a little less involved than those of other, more populous states. Despite that, indigent and low-income Wyomingites can reach out for help to a couple of top-notch pro bono services and community legal resources. Help is available, but there are not branches available in every corner of the state.
Pro Bono Services in Wyoming
As mentioned above, there is not a comprehensive network of pro bono services organizations stretching across the state of Wyoming. Such matters are handled by the Pro Bono Volunteer Lawyers Program, or PBVLP, which is a part of the Wyoming State Bar. The best place for low-income residents of Wyoming to begin, then, is the state bar. In turn, the state bar can refer eligible individuals to the PBVLP, which will then get them the help that is needed.

Wyoming Community Legal Resources
Beyond the state bar's program, there is a dearth of community legal resources in the state of Wyoming. The population of the state just isn't large enough to justify or support a huge assortment of such organizations. That does not mean that low-income Wyomingites are left out in the dark, however. One of the following organizations may be able to help, or could refer you to a place that can.

Facing legal troubles alone is never a good idea. If you live in Wyoming, are unable to afford legal representation and meet certain eligibility requirements, one of the organizations on this page should be able to help.
