  • Hawaii Pro Bono & Community Legal Resources

    As small and isolated as the state of Hawaii may be, it has plenty of topnotch services to offer its approximately 1.3 million citizens. Of those 1.3 million people, about 10.6% of them live at or below the federal poverty level. Hawaii may be perceived as paradise, but day-to-day life isn't always perfect for those who live there. Luckily, the state boasts a significant number of pro bono services and community legal resources. Low income residents of the state of Hawaii can often take advantage of these programs and services if they encounter legal trouble.

    Pro Bono Services in Hawaii

    The primary source of pro bono services in the state of Hawaii is made available by a volunteer hotline that is hosted by lawyers from the Hawaii State Bar. Every week, these volunteer lawyers are made available on a phone line to assist low-income residents of the state of Hawaii with their legal problems. The line is open every Wednesday night from 6pm to 7pm.

    Hawaii Community Legal Resources

    All too often, low-income individuals have to face legal problems without the assistance of a qualified attorney. In the state of Hawaii, however, those with limited incomes can turn to the wide network of community legal resources that is available throughout the islands. There is no need for any resident of Hawaii to face daunting legal trouble alone; if you or someone you know is facing legal problems - and can't pay for a lawyer - the following organizations may be able to help.
